More than 60 professionals from agencies in 18 countries make up the 2017 Mobius Awards Jury. They include such longtime judges as Eric Studer of Eureka Spring, Arkansas, in the U.S. and Corinne Burns Bruno of Montefiascone, Italy.. Mobius also welcomes back Istvan Bracsok of White Rabbit Budapest.
Among the newcomers are Garrick Hamm of Williams Murray Hamm, London; Patrick Ackmann of WEFR in Neu-Isenburg, Germany; Matt Batten, of Edge, New South Wales, and Assam Khalid of BBDO Pakistan in Lahore.
“Since Mobius Awards entries come from all over the world and from such diverse cultures, we want a panel of judges that is just as diverse,” says Kristen Szabo, Mobius Awards Manager of Entrant Relations and Operations. “We are so pleased with the judging participants. We appreciate those returning and welcome the new ones.”
Competition awards include a First Place Mobius statuette, a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity, and a Student Certificate. Best of Show-Grand Prix and Best of Show (Grand Prix) Nominee awards are selected from First Place winners and based on jurors’ recommendations. Jurors are not required to select winners in each medium or category, which means some mediums might not have a Best of Show winner every year. Judges access entries online for assessment, with the exception of packaging, which is judged in person and online.
