U.K. TAKES NINE FIRSTS IN MOBIUS AD COMPETITION
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. USA – U.K. advertising agencies, led by The Partners, captured 18 awards, including nine First Places awards, in the 2009 international Mobius Awards competition.
The Partners, London, won four First Place Mobius Golden Statuettes for “Deloitte Green Dot” Campaign in Print-Trade Magazine, “Eagleclean Identity” in Logo/Trademark/Corporate Identity and in Website: Flash, and “The Art of Collaboration” in Brochure/Book. The agency also won a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity for “Deloitte PlanetSaver” in New Media-Other.
Coy Communications, London, won a First Place Golden Statuette and a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity for “The Creative Circle Bumper Book of British Advertising & DVD, ” both in Brochure/Book, and a Second Place Certificate for “A Large Evil Corporation Corporate Identity” in Print-Logo/Trademark/Corporate Identity.
Random42 Medical Animation captured a First Place Statuette in New Media-Other for “Fingolimod in Multiple Sclerosis” and a Second Place Certificate for “Pioneering New Frontiers in Tumor Angiogenesis” in Online-Other.
Elmwood, Leeds, took a First Place Golden Statuette for “Toast” in Direct and a Second Place Certificate for “Playgroup” in Print-Logo/Trademark/Corporate Identity.
Williams Murray Hamm, London, captured a First Place Golden Statuette for “Seemed like a good Idea at the time” in Direct.
Winning Second Place Certificates were HLA, London, two for Johnnie Walker “The Man Who Walked Around the World” in Direct; dare!, Harrogate, one for Balance 1.5L Bag-in box in Sustainable Package Design; and Canvas Global Radio Services Ltd., London, one for “Invasion” Campaign in Radio.
The overall competition recognized competitors with 93 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 105 Certificates for Outstanding Creativity and 13 Student Awards. Twenty-nine countries participated and 20 produced winners in the 39th annual awards competition.
